I watched a video somewhere online (can't remember if it's facebook or twitter), where a guy staged several fake kidnappings in US to see how many people will come to the rescue of the victims, true to his analysis, nobody did. It looked funny and impossible, but it happened. I also watched a clip on TV where a man was knocked out in a street fight, he lay almost dead for hours and no one cared.
And then I was in some market (don't worry about the name) and I saw this guy lying there on the floor, people virtually walked over him, I asked a few people what was wrong with him and no one seemed to know, I asked if anyone knew and and the answer was no.
I was thinking it was just those people, have the entire world become bad Samaritans?
The world we are in now has cause us to be more careful and cautioned. You won't really blame people much.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on this, but shouldn't we do more?
